Italian top team CAAL Racing has extended its cooperation with Arianna Casoli – The race driver from Reggio Emilia will contest her sixth NWES season

Arianna Casoli will once again compete in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES) with CAAL Racing in 2021. In her sixth season, the Italian will once again take the wheel of the #54 Chevrolet Camaro in the EuroNASCAR 2 championship. The race driver from Reggio Emilia will share the car with Gianmarco Ercoli.

In the 2020 season, Casoli won the Legend Trophy in the EuroNASCAR 2 championship for the first time and finished second in the Lady Trophy. She was particularly remembered for her strong race in Zolder, Belgium, when she finished fifth in the rain. This was also her best result in the 55 races she has now under her belt in EuroNASCAR.

“I’m looking forward to being part of the EuroNASCAR Championship in 2021 and staying with my family at CAAL Racing”, said Casoli, who grabbed the Lady Trophy title twice in her career.

“It’s also a pleasure to share the car with my fellow countryman Gianmarco, who is incredibly fast. My goal is to defend the Legend Trophy title and win the Lady Trophy. Of course I also want to improve my overall results but I know that there will be a lot of fierce and strong drivers on the grid in the 2021 EuroNASCAR season.”

Casoli, who is one of the most experienced drivers on the EuroNASCAR 2 grid, is a true fan favorite. Therefore she hopes to welcome fans back to the track in the upcoming season, if the pandemic situation allows to open the gates once again.

“That would bring some normalcy back in our racing lifes and it would be great to have the fans back to celebrate the NASCAR parties we have at the circuits around Europe. It would be great to get back the NASCAR style events in which fans play a huge role. I really can’t wait to start again and rev that wonderful V8 engine.”

The 2021 NWES season kicks off May 15-16 at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain. Qualifying and all races will be broadcast live on the Leadlap.de / Leadlap.net Facebook page.
