EuroNASCAR presented its new 2020 schedule – In addition, the championships get new names

Like last season, the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES) will host seven events in the 2020 championship. The schedule, which includes one new track, has been shaken up a lot. In addition, the championships will have new names in the 2020 season.

There is a highlight for the German fans, who will see the NWES finals on October 17-18 at the Hockenheimring. After three years of NWES racing in Germany, the iconic track in Baden-Württemberg was chosen to host the final races of the 2020 championship.

The season opener will take place in Valencia in Spain on April 25-26. It’s already the seventh edition of the NWES event at Circuit Ricardo Tormo. Afterwards the NWES travels to its most successful event at Brands Hatch in Great Britain on June 6-7. The second edition of the NASCAR Show at Autodrom Most will take place on June 20-21.

The regular season’s final will be held at Raceway Venray in the Netherlands on July 10-11. The races will again mark the only oval races during the 2020 NWES season. For the first time in the history of EuroNASCAR, the series will host three playoff race weekends.

The quarter-finals will take place on September 12-13 in Vallelunga in Italy. The track close to Rome takes over the place of Franciacorta, the former home of the NASCAR GP Italy. The semi-finals follow on October 3-4 in Zolder, Belgium ahead of the finals in Hockenheim.

In addition, the NWES changed the names of its championships. While the ELITE 1 Division will be called EuroNASCAR Pro in 2020, the ELITE 2 Division will get the new name EuroNASCAR 2. The ELITE Club Division’s name will be changed to EuroNASCAR Club Challenge, what will feature races in Valencia, Most, Zolder and Hockenheim.
