NWES postpones race in Most, Venray announces new dates for 2020

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, both the NWES calendar and the championship at Raceway Venray have been shaken up – But the series and the track have now announced new dates
The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES) will probably last until the winter of 2020. As the race in Most has officially been postponed and given a new date, and as the race in Venray will most likely not take place, the season will not kick off until the race in Italy in September.
The latest press release of the NWES states that the races in Vallelunga (September 12-13 in Italy), Zolder (October 3-4 in Belgium) and Hockenheim (October 17-18 in Germany) will take place as planned. The race at the Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic has been postponed to November 14-15.
After the first postponement of the actual season opener at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain, a new date was found: October 31 and November 1. However, the NWES seems to be moving away from this date again, as the latest announcement says that updates will follow for the races in Valencia, Brands Hatch and Venray.
Raceway Venray with new schedule

As no major events are allowed in the Netherlands until September 1, the half mile oval has already had to cancel many races in 2020. However, there is a ray of hope for oval racing fans, as the organisation has already announced five new race days:
- September 27
- October 25
- November 22
- December 26-27
According to the information from the race track, work is underway on further dates for the 2020 season. What is missing so far: a race weekend for the rounds of the EuroNASCAR. So it is possible that the calendar of Raceway Venray will still be adjusted if there is an agreement with NWES.
