NWES in Zolder: Tzirortzis aims to start again in Croatia after surgery

Vladimiros Tziortzis needed surgery on his arm after an accident with Martin Doubek in Belgium – He wants to be back in the car at the season finale in Croatia
The NASCAR Whelen EuroSeries (NWES) once again delivered spectacular racing at the Circuit Zolder. For Vladimiros Tziortzis, the weekend went off as planned and ended on the operating table instead of in Victory Lane. But the Academy Caffi driver is not discouraged by this.
On Saturday, the Cypriot was involved in an accident with Martin Doubek after only a few laps in the EuroNASCAR 2 race. If a problem with the transmission or a tap from the back was the cause of the crash has yet not been solved. He said: “I’m so sorry for him. But at the same time I’m very glad that the hospital crew did its best yesterday night with a small surgery.”
The accident had caused a small bone to shift in the Cypriot’s right arm. Nevertheless, he wanted to start on Sunday, but after the warm-up it was clear that this was not possible. Instead of behind the wheel, Tzirotzis followed the remaining races from the pit lane with his arm in a sling. He wants to be back in the car for the season finale in Croatia and therefore he will work hard on his rehabilitation.
