Racingfuel Motorsport from Switzerland will field two Chevrolet Camaros in the 2022 EuroNASCAR season – The driver quartet is not yet known

The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES) is getting an addition from Switzerland for the 2022 season. Racingfuel Motorsport will enter the official European NASCAR championship with two Chevrolet Camaros (#93 and #94). The four drivers for the EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 categories have not yet been announced.

Team owner Ferruccio Finkbohner draws on 20 years of racing experience and has competed in many races himself. His company has focused on the distribution of motorsport products and services. The use of two of its own Chevrolets in the NWES marks the next step for the organization from Switzerland.

“Switzerland has no road course racing but there are a lot of motorsport enthusiasts,” he said. “With entering EuroNASCAR, we found the perfect way to give passionate Swiss racing drivers access to an internationally renowned racing series. It is the ideal opportunity for young, aspiring or experienced drivers to compete at the highest level in international racing at a relatively low investment.”

It is not yet known who will compete for the racing team in the EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 championships. However, the team would like to present its quartet for the 2022 season soon. The NWES championship will start on April 9 and 10 at the legendary Hockenheimring, which returns to the calendar after a two-year forced break due Corona.

A high number of cars are expected in both championships due to the entries of new teams and commitments from existing racing teams. Racingfuel Motorsport will have its hands full between now and the start of the season preparing the cars and signing up the drivers for 2022.
