NASCAR Whelen Euro Series postpones race at Brands Hatch

NASCAR Whelen Euro Series postpones race at Brands Hatch

EuroNASCAR has to postpone the planned season opener at Brands Hatch – Great Britain cancelled all motorsport events until the 30th of June

Hard hit for the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES): After the postponement of the actual season opener in Valencia, an alternative date for the race at Brands Hatch in Great Britain must now be found. The reason for the postponement is the decision by the British Motorsport Association to suspend all racing events until the 30th of June.

The NWES is looking for an alternative date and wants to hold the AmericanSpeedfest later this year at the Indy layout of the British track. However, it is not yet clear when the NASCAR GP UK exactly will take place. The exact wording from the NWES is:

NASCAR SpeedFest 8 Postponed

American SpeedFest 8 at Brands Hatch will be postponed from its original date on 6-7 June, following the decision by Motorsport UK to extend the suspension of motor racing until at least 30 June. Event organiser MSV and the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series are working together to secure a new date and an announcement will be made in due course.
