Italian YouTube star Alberto Naska set to make EuroNASCAR debut
Alberto “Naska” Fontana will make his EuroNASCAR 2 debut with CAAL Racing in 2022 – The Italian is one of Italy’s most successful YouTubers
From being a YouTube star to competing at the race track: Alberto “Naska” Fontana will make his debut in the 2022 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES) season together with CAAL Racing. The 31-year-old will compete in the EuroNASCAR 2 championship, sharing the #88 Chevrolet Camaro with Max Lanza. His YouTube channel is already mainly about racing, so exciting content can also be expected from EuroNASCAR.
Naska has generated over 700,000 followers in his YouTube career, who can look forward to regular videos on his channel. The content creator has competed in Legends Car and open wheel racing and has also raced on a motorcycle. For Naska, the move into the NWES is the biggest step in his racing career so far.
“I’m really proud to be able to race in such a prestigious and important championship as the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, because this marks a key moment in my auto racing career,” said Naska. “Moreover, with this car it was love at first sight, because it represents the pure essence of driving.”
“No aids, no electronics, no frills. H-pattern gearbox, classic heel-and-toe technique and let the best driver win. The competition level is very high and it will be tough to stay out front, but with a great team like CAAL Racing, I have everything I need to do well. I can’t wait to get started!”
Naska has already tested CAAL Racing’s car and posted a video about it on his channel. The videos usually appear in Italian, but there are always some English productions as well. With the Italian top team, Naska wants to develop steadily in the 2022 season and win the Rookie Trophy – the only trophy still missing from the Canneori family’s collection!
