December 7, 2022: No new engines for the 2024 season

The planned 2.4-liter engine for the 2024 IndyCar season has been cancelled for the time being. Mahle was actually supposed to develop the hybrid unit, but there were significant problems during testing, which is why Chevrolet and Honda will now work together with a new supplier to develop a unit. In the course of this, it was decided to keep the current combustion engine, which has been in use since 2012.

December 3, 2022: Ganassi Racing signs Marcus Armstrong

The 22-year-old Marcus Armstrong landed one of the best IndyCar rides a rookie can get. In the 2023 season he will drive the No. 11 car of Ganassi Racing on road and street courses. Armstrong will join the well known CGR team and ride along Scott Dixon, Alex Palou and Marcus Ericsson.
