Gil Linster aims high in EuroNASCAR 2

Instead of racing for CAAL Racing, Gil Linster will compete in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series for Hendriks Motorsport – He has high goals
New year, new team. Toyota instead of Chevrolet. After returning to the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series with CAAL Racing last year, Gil Linster will compete in EuroNASCAR 2 for Hendriks Motorsport in 2023. There he shares the cockpit of the number 50 car with Liam Hezemans.
“Of course there is always change. A little bit different car and also from the team and set-upping it’s always a bit different,” Linster tells ‘Leadlap.net’. “But I think I have settled in very quickly.”
Likely because the language barrier is eliminated with the Dutch top team. “We speak German, French and English. I understand Dutch, but I can’t speak it yet. But I understand it, and that changes a lot as a driver when you can express yourself much more freely,” emphasises the Luxembourger.
And the season’s goal is also clear: in 2023, he wants to finally win the EuroNASCAR 2 title. “We have a cool saying: ‘All in, flat out’,” says Linster, who also knows that the competition in the field is fierce. “I think if I do my best, it’s enough to race at the front.”
With two-time EuroNASCAR champion Loris Hezemans, the Luxembourger has an experienced mentor at his side. Hendriks Motorsports also knows how to win the EuroNASCAR 2 title. In 2021, the organization led by Roy Hendriks won the title with Martin Doubek. In 2022, Liam Hezemans beat Alberto Naska in a thrilling duel.
