Nicolo Gabossi and Davide Dallara will compete in the 2022 EuroNASCAR PRO season for Not Only Motorsport – Both drivers will fight for the Challenger Trophy win

Not Only Motorsports has confirmed two more drivers for the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES): Davide Dallara and Nicolo Gabossi will both compete in the EuroNASCAR PRO championship, vying for the Challenger Trophy for bronze and silver drivers in the top category. While Dallara will once again take his seat in the #89 Chevrolet Camaro, Gabossi will climb into the #90 car.

Dallara will share the car with Alberto Panebianco, who will compete in EuroNASCAR 2. The Italian entered the NWES in 2020 and immediately attracted attention with his victory in the Challenger Trophy. Last year Dallara was defeated by Henri Tuomaala in the special classification. The race driver from Parma is fired up to claim his second Challenger Trophy title.

“My goal is to return to the top of the Challenger Trophy, said Dallara. “I’m excited because the team worked a lot during the winter and I’m sure they will give me a great car as they always do. But I also want to improve and get good results in the overall standings as well. It would be fantastic to enter the top-10 and who knows, maybe the top-5.”

Gabossi will make a big step, moving up from the NWES regularity based challenge – Club Challenge – to EuroNASCAR PRO. In addition, the Italian has taken on a leadership role within the team to help team principal Luca Giovannelli develop the organization. Gabossi is not making this move entirely without racing experience: he has already contested a EuroNASCAR PRO race weekend at Circuit Zolder in 2021.

“I have high expectations for this season, especially towards myself. Thanks to Not Only Motorsport I had the chance to drive a race car for the first time last year and now I want to take a step up,” said Gabossi. “I know that going straight from the Club Challenge to EuroNASCAR PRO will not be easy and that I will not have the pace to stay with the top drivers. I want to improve race by race and always bring more data and results to the team to grow as a group.”

Not Only Motorsports’ driver line-up for the 2022 NWES season has it all, with Dallara, Gabossi and title contender Vittorio Ghirelli entered for the EuroNASCAR PRO championship. In the EuroNASCAR 2 series, Panebianco, Advait Deodhar and Alina Loibnegger form the racing team’s trio. Deodhar shares the car with Gabossi. Loibnegger’s assignment is still pending, while Ghirelli will drive the #36 car.
