Coronavirus: Cancellations in the Netherlands and United States

The coronavirus paralyzes the entertainment industry – The Netherlands and United States cancel their races
Italy is under a state of emergency and the situation around land shows how devastating a spread of coronavirus can be. Governments and authorities in both North America and Europe are therefore responding to the threat posed by the disease. While races are being cancelled in the Netherlands, NASCAR has opted for ghost races.
The Autospeedway will not start the new season in March 2020 as planned. The Speedway Emmen, Midland Circuit Lelystad and Circuit de Polderputten in Ter Apel have cancelled all race events in March. It is not yet known whether the season opener will take place at Raceway Venray. The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series has postponed the season opener in Valencia to the end of the year.
