Change of scenery after six years: Arianna Casoli signs with Speedhouse Racing

Arianna Casoli and CAAL Racing part ways after six years – She is set to join Speedhouse Racing – Italian aims to win two titles in 2022 NWES season
Every story comes to an end and a change of scenery can have a huge impact: Arianna Casoli will no longer race for CAAL Racing in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES) after six years, but will change colors. The race driver from Reggio Emilia will drive for a non-Italian team for the first time: Speedhouse Racing from France. Team boss and NWES veteran Lucas Lasserre has signed Casoli for the EuroNASCAR 2 program.
For Casoli, Speedhouse Racing is only her third team after Vict Motorsports (2016) and CAAL Racing (2016-2021). With the Italian top team, she has won three Lady Trophies (2016, 2019 and 2021) and a Legend Trophy (2020) for drivers 40 and older in her career. With her three Lady Trophy titles and 32 race wins in the special classification, Casoli sits atop the perpetual standings. With Speedhouse Racing, Casoli is looking to celebrate her fourth Lady Trophy and second Legend Trophy victory.
The Italian will be driving the car with the starting number 14. She will certainly have to get used to the new colors first, because the new vehicle will shine in the typical blue with “pink highlights”. Her trademark, the distinctive gecko, will also be placed on the Speedhouse car. In Lasserre, Casoli will get a coach who has been with the series since its inception in 2009 and knows every inch of the tracks and cars.
“I’m really happy about the opportunity to be part of the project Lucas Lasserre created with Speedhouse,” says Casoli. “I have known Lucas for some years and I always appreciated his determination and his racing attitude: he’s always smiling but also very professional and successful. Lucas has a strong personality and is a very fast driver who knows the pure racing character of EuroNASCAR since the series was created.”

“He left his mark in the series as a driver and team owner and therefore I think he will continue to develop his team with his enthusiasm as well as with his technical, sporting and interpersonal skills,” she continues. “I’m sure our plan for the season will help me to improve my driving skills and I can’t wait to begin this new chapter of my racing career. I hope we will have the fans back in the paddock again. My personal goals are to improve myself and have fun.”
The 2022 NWES season will start at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain, on May 14-15 following the cancellation of the Hockenheim race. Casoli will face some mighty competition in the Lady Trophy, as Alina Loibnegger and Yasmeen, as well as Alyyah Koloc, will be three other fast women competing in the EuroNASCAR 2 championship. Nevertheless, Casoli is highly motivated to further extend her lead in the perpetual standings of the NWES …
