Brand change: Hoosier Racing Tire new tire supplier of EuroNASCAR

On April 17-18, EuroNASCAR will kick off the 2021 season – A few months before the season opener, the series unveiled its new tire partner
About two years ago, the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES) presented General Tire as the new long-time tire supplier. After Michelin and BF Goodrich, the US company was the third partner since the series’ inception in 2009 and NASCAR’s involvement in 2012.
The General Tire contract was to run for six years, but the series has now unveiled a new long-term partner with Hoosier Racing Tire. “This new seven-year contract demonstrates the great confidence in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and its future,” explained EuroNASCAR CEO Jerome Galpin.
Like its previous tire partner, Hoosier Racing Tire is part of the German Continental corporation. Therefore, there will be no changes to the specification of the slick and rain tires that the US company will supply, which is why there will be no changes for the teams.
“We are really looking forward to the coming years. We have developed a great NWES tire that not only suits drivers at different levels, but also performs very well on a wide variety of tracks across Europe – even in difficult conditions,” he explained European head of Hoosier Racing Tires Martin Heckers. The brand will make its debut during the NWES season opener in Valencia on April 17-18.
