Because of the coronavirus crisis: NWES adjusts the ENES calendar

The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series has adjusted the calendar of its EuroNASCAR Esports Series – The races will now take place every 14 days
The coronavirus crisis has further impact on the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES): Due to the ongoing pandemic, the calendar of the EuroNASCAR Esports Series (ENES) has been adjusted. Instead of weekly, the events will now take place every two weeks. This means that the first virtual season will run until July 2020.
The next race at the virtual Circuit Park Zandvoort, which was supposed to take place next Tuesday, is also affected. The new date is Tuesday, 19 May. The races will continue to take place on Tuesday evening from 8pm and will be streamed on the official EuroNASCAR channels.
The complete adjusted calendar:
Date | Track |
May 19, 2020 | Circuit Park Zandvoort |
June, 2, 2020 | Indianapolis Motor Speedway Rundkurs |
June 16, 2020 | Brands Hatch GP-Kurs |
Jun 30, 2020 | Charlotte Roval |
July 14, 2020 | Circuit Zolder |
The first ENES season in the history of the NWES will take place over a longer period than originally planned. The real races in Most and Venray have not yet been officially postponed, but due to the ongoing crisis it is considered unlikely that the races can take place as major events are currently not allowed in the Netherlands or the Czech Republic. Due to the numerous relaxations of measures in European countries, no reliable statement can be made about the planned races yet.
