The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series will race on seven tracks in Europe in 2021 – There will be only road course races next season

28 races at seven events in Europe: The NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES) has announced its calendar for the 2021 season. What first catches the eye is that there will be no oval race next year. While the Raceway Venray has not found a place in the program of the official European NASCAR championship, the Automotodrom Grobnik in Croatia will return on the schedule.

The season will start on April 17-18 in Valencia, Spain. It is the eighth time that the NWES will visit Circuit Ricardo Tormo, which is why this race weekend already has a great tradition. EuroNASCAR will then visit the Autodromo di Vallelunga in Italy for the second time. The races are scheduled for May 15-16.

After the race had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Autodrom Most will return to the NWES program. The races in the Czech Republic will take place on June 19-20. Brands Hatch also fell victim to the pandemic in 2020. The most popular NWES event will take place on July 3-4, 2021 and will thus celebrate its comeback.

Before the summer break, the NWES teams will be guests at the Hockenheimring in Baden-Württemberg. The races in Germany are planned for July 17-18. The regular season ends on September 18-19 at the Automotodrom Grobnik in Croatia. The only event where there will be double points is the final in Zolder, Belgium, on October 9-10.

The current planning is of course based on the condition that the coronavirus pandemic will not have any influence on sporting events in the coming year. Due to the difficult situation, short-term changes may of course also occur in the 2021 season. On the YouTube channel of Leadlap.de there is a new video for the new NWES calendar in German.
