DF1 Racing has signed Henri Tuomaala for the 2020 EuroNASCAR season – The Finn will compete in both the EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 championships

DF1 Racing has found the final piece of the puzzle for the 2020 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES): Henri Tuomaala will drive a brand new #23 Chevrolet Camaro and compete in both the EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 (ENPRO and EN2) championships. The Finn will also start in the EuroNASCAR Esports Series (ENES) for the Austrian outfit.

Tuomaala has been active in the NWES since the 2018 season and immediately achieved a top-10 result in the ENPRO on his debut at the Hockenheimring. The Finn also attracted attention in Zolder with strong performances. His first full-time season followed in 2019, in which he immediately won the Challenger Trophy with Memphis Racing. With DF1 Racing he wants to defend the title and fight for the EN2 championship.

“I am delighted to have found a new team with DF1 Racing,” said Tuomaala. “I have now gained a lot of experience in a EuroNASCAR car and DF1 Racing has been successfully involved in the NWES for a very long time. That’s why I believe that I will get a lot of help from the team to get to the top”.

DF1 Racing Head of Motorsport Norbert Walchhofer said: “We are happy that Henri made the decision to benefit from our technical support and marketing activities. He will bring his brand new Chevrolet Camaro to our workshop and drive the #23 NWES beast in 2020.”
